An Italian maiolica istoriato dish
the deep circular bowl painted with Jupiter and a figure emblematic of Justic raining thunderbolts down on figures among rocks, within an ochre ground border reseved with panels of figures from classical legends within panels flanked by winged putti and scrolling foliage, below and egg and dart band, late 19th century (some minor chips and flakes to underside of rim) -- 35cm. diam.
