Lot Essay

The Kalo Shops served as the school and workshop for the Chicago-based Kalo Shop. Many of Chicago's leading Arts and Crafts artisans trained there. The Kalo Shops operated from 1905 in the Park Ridge home of owners Clara and George Welles until 1914 when it consolidated with the downtown Chicago store, The Kalo Shop.
