TWO BRISTOL DELFT CHARGERS
Circa 1730-40
One painted in blue, green and iron-red with two birds strutting beside bamboo and willow near a fenced garden, enclosed within blue scrollwork, the border with gated fences, foliage and flower sprays, the reverse with alternating blue oval and // motif at the well, 13.3/8in. (34cm.) diam.; the other painted in the same palette with a stylized pagoda in a foliate landscape, within an iron-red scalloped band, the border with arched and scrolling vines, 13in. (34.3cm.) diam.; together with an English delft blue and white scalloped bowl, the interior painted with a heron beneath a band of foliate scroll and stylized cross ornament, the exterior with Chinoiserie lappets and flowers, 10in. (25.4cm.) diam. (3)
