A 6-inch (15cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe, made up of twelve colour printed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial divided, no ecliptic shown, the countries coloured, the oceans showing the currents and shipping routes (some marking to surface, pin holes to Pacific, scratch to Indian ocean), raised on a gilt metal stand in the form of a female figure on a decorative plinth, supporting the globe -- 12½in. (32cm.) high

Lot Essay

The company established a base in Stuttgart in 1945, after which date their globes gave the address as Berlin and Stuttgart. On this example, Israel bears the legend ISR, indicating a date after the ending of the British Mandate in 1948.
