A large Ming lacquered and gilt bronze model of Buddha
with serene expression and pendulous earlobes, seated on a rectangular base wearing flowing robes tied at the waist, with one hand raised and the other holding a pearl, a small Buddhistic lion crouches at his feet -- 26½in. (67.3cm.) high, 16th Century, (corner of base broken off, overall old wear).
