A Swiss enamelled and pearl-set gold Snuff-Box
by Georges Rémond & Cie, marked, Geneva, circa 1800
Oblong box with cut corners, the cover, sides, corners and base enamelled in translucent blue framed by bands of gold paillons, on engine-turned grounds, on a wavy sunburst on the cover, a sunset on the base and wavy horizontal reeding on the sides, the lid centred by initials "FF" in gold and green foliate paillons on a concentric guilloché ground, framed by a split-pearl border, the edges framed by bands of opaque white enamel, the front and rear sides decorated with green and gold paillons depicting vases and garlands of flowers, the left and right sides and corners with laurel crowns and rosettes in the same technique
