French and Swiss, two of the miniatures signed by Singry and Frégevize, one with gold lining by L. A. Baudin, Paris, 1810-1819
Five bonbonnières, one of engine-turned blue composition, set with a miniature of a gentleman against a landscape background, by Frédéric Frégevize (Geneva 1770-1849), ca 1795; one of green lacquered papier mâché with gilt stars, set with a miniature of a gentleman, signed Singry, ca 1800; one, white with brown mounts, set with a profile drawing of a girl, ca 1800; one flecked brown, set with a gilt-metal mounted miniature depicting in sleeping Rococo beauty, ca 1890; one dark with gilt mounts, with vacant glazed aperture for an oval miniature, ca 1820; and two rectangular snuff-boxes, one of lacquered papier mâché set with a silver-mounted fixé-sous-verre miniature of a view of Geneva with the Salève in the background, ca 1840; the other dark and gold-lined, with concave sides, by L. A. Baudin, Paris, 1810-1819, the cover inset with an oval enamel plaque painted with a posy of flowers, ca 1850
