Rectangular white box, the cover carved with a scene depicting an allegory of Hope and Love: Cupid nourished by a busty beauty personifying Hope holding an anchor, a ship in the background, the box opening to reveal an engraved gold quiver with three implements comprising a file, an ear spoon and a tooth-pick with coral finial carved as a monkey, attached to the orange velvet lined base, the inside of the cover set with a mirror, gold pushpiece
