by Charles Collins & Söhne, Hanau, circa 1850, the enamel miniature Geneva, circa 1780
Cartouche-shaped box with lobed bombé sides, the cover centred with an oval enamel plaque depicting two ladies standing in a landscape and admiring a miniature presented by a gentleman, within a split-pearl border, surrounded by cast and engraved gold and blue enamelled foliage and rosettes, the sides and base engraved with flowers and foliage on a matted ground, slightly raised scrolling foliate thumbpiece
