The ivory handle in the form of a music-making putto seated on a scroll; the steel sheath pierced and engraved with foliage; the sheath associated; the steel blade with labels inscribed '2812' and 'XVIe S'.
AND A CYLINDRICAL CARVED IVORY NEEDLE CASE
French, 18th century
Carved with foliage in spiralling registers; a label on the inside inscribed '2722/Etui à aiguilles en ivoire/L.XV./TZ'.
Minor crack to lid.
