AN ENAMELLED GLASS VASE

of swollen oval form, the clear glass internally mottled with milky white opalescence, etched and finely enamelled with a peasant mother and child walking through a forest with slender fir trees, huddled together under an umbrella against lashing rain, the reverse etched and enamelled with spray of wild pink roses, buds and leafage, heightened in gilt, gilt mark Daum Nancy with a cross of Lorraine -- 7.5cm. high
