probably by Kestner, with closed mouth, brown sleeping eyes, pierced ears, blonde wig and jointed fixed wrist body, dressed in contemporary magenta frock decorated with velvet ribbon, crochet mittens, underwear, shoes socks and straw hat -- 17in. (43cm.) high, impressed 2½ 11 (hairline to forehead, one upper leg joint needs sticking, eyes need adjustment); and a quantity of extra outfits including suit in cotton print; lace trimmed pinafore; piquet jacket; mock fur tipett; wooden handeled parasol; black velvet jacket; printed cotton apron; wicker basket with white metal purse; two frozen charlottes; straw hat contained in a domed trunk with fitted tray -- 20½in. (52cm.) wide marked with label Oskar Ilgner
