The rectangular superstructure with a three-quarter solid shaped gallery above two shelves and a central recess, flanked on each side by a door enclosing four part mahogany-lined small drawers, above four further small drawers, one fitted, the lower section with a folding red leather-lined writing-surface above two part blue paper-lined frieze drawers, on square tapering legs headed by oval panels, the panels to the front inlaid with a thistle, to the side with a bluebell, the base of the legs with a band, the moulding at the bottom front of the superstructure replaced
