The rounded rectangular top with three-quarter gallery and reeded edge, above a central mahogany-lined frieze drawer above an arched kneehole, flanked on each side by two short mahogany-lined drawers, with panelled sides above a bobbin-turned moulding, on ring-turned heavily-reeded legs headed by rectangular panels, with conforming feet with sunk brass castors, two handles replaced, signed in pencil on the underside of the frieze drawer 'R S Middlefell' (?) and stamped 'GILLOWS LANCASTER'
