The frosted gilt chain fusee movement with foliate engraving and mythical bird design to the cock, diamond endstone, steel escape wheel, gold helical spiral, non-ferrous platinum and silver amalgam Z balance with threaded weights, Arnold spring detent escapement (modified and repositioned), dust shroud to the winding arbor, repeating the hours, quarters and half-quarters by depressing the pendant, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Arabic five minute divisions and subsidiary seconds, with screwed gold seconds hand, gold spade hands with screwed minute hand, in 18 carat gold consular case, casemaker's mark TH for Thomas Hardy, with hinged bezel and back, with contemporary two tier mahogany observation box, dial and movement signed, case, dial and movement numbered
