With gadroon rim, engraved on base, detachable nozzle and snuffer with crest and motto scroll; also a pair of modern Italian metalware chambersticks in the early 19th century taste, with stiff-leaf borders, the capitals and detachable snuffers decorated with a band of anthemions
respectively, 5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) and 5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) diameter
30.5 oz. (946 gr.)
The crest and motto engraved on the single chamberstick are those of Chalmers of Aldbar, Forfarshire. (3)
