A GEORGE V SILVER-FITTED MAHOGANY DRESSING TABLE

Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, with gilded brasswork, the panelled top centred by an oval medallion, rising to reveal a tripartite fold-out mirror above two small push button released drawers and an ivorine and velvet lined swing-out interior enclosing engine-turned silver fittings including four glass bottles, four glass boxes, a large circular jar, four brushes, a boat-shaped jar with pad, a shoe-horn, various scissors, button hooks, nail files and tweezers, over two frieze drawers with mahogany linings, the silver engraved "Patricia" or (on smaller pieces) "P" and hallmarked for George Betjemann & Sons, London, 1926
Closed: 35 in. (90 cm.) high; 31 ½ in. (80 cm.) wide; 23 ¼ in. (59 cm.) deep.
