Oval, the inside of the hinged cover with supports for a silver caddy-spoon, engraved with an initial 'M' below a Royal duchess' coronet, marked near rim, inside cover and on spoon
4¼ in. (11 cm.) wide
8 oz. (249 gr.)
The initial is that of Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (1906-1968).
