ATTRIBUTED TO JAMES SHOOLBRED & CO., CIRCA 1892
The rectangular shelf with shaped back above a frieze drawer with convex quarter-fillets and an original handle, on shaped supports flanked by open sides and curved brass rail, with removable brass drip-trays, on moulded plinths with shaped brass feet, the drawer stamped with registration mark for 3 June 1877(?) and inscribed 'No 8¾ H(?) J.M.D. 10/12/92 purchase'
39¾ in. (101 cm.) high; 40 in. (101.5 cm.) wide; 13½ in. (34.5 cm.) deep
Provenance
Presumably bought by J.M.D., 10 December 1892, according to the inscription on the drawer.
