During the Nuragic period Sardinia was home to a distinctive and advanced prehistoric culture known for its monumental stone towers—nuraghes—and finely crafted bronze figurines depicting animals, boats and warriors equipped with bows, quivers, and elaborate helmets, all meticulously detailed.
The present example wears the typical helmet with horns, double tunic and greaves. He is depicted in the act of throwing an arrow with the bow and carries a quiver on his back with a long javelin and thrower.
