Corr. 8091); 4 May 1874 Thereza sent Darwin details of her primrose-eating canary (Dar. Corr. 9426). No collected edition of Darwin was published in his lifetime; indeed, this was only issued in 1990, and collected sets formed in the 19th-century, such as the present lot, are rare. (14)
