Details
KEYNES, John Maynard (1883-1946)
The General Theory of Employment Interest and Money. London: Macmillan, 1936.
First edition of the most influential economic work of the 20th-century, in an unusually well-preserved state with the dust-jacket unprice-clipped. Keynes argued in this work for government intervention to moderate the extremes of economic activity and to introduce policies in order to produce full employment. PMM 423.

Octavo (215 x 130mm). (Very faint spotting to the front free endpaper and first 5 leaves, otherwise clean and fine throughout.) Original green cloth lettered in gilt (a couple of very minor spots to covers, otherwise in near-fine condition), printed dust-jacket (spine lightly browned with some faint staining, the rear cover with some faint, insignificant soiling, head of spine and foot of front cover with the merest suggestion of creasing).
