TWO PAIRS OF GEORGE III SILVER SAUCEBOATS
ONE PAIR WITH MARK OF DANIEL SMITH AND ROBERT SHARP, LONDON, 1763, THE OTHER PAIR LONDON, 1773, MAKER'S MARK WS
Each oval and on three shell-capped feet, with leaf-capped scroll handle, each pair engraved with a coat-of-arms, each marked underneath
8½ in. (21.5 cm.) wide
56 oz. (1,742 gr.)
The arms on the first pair are those of Watts impaling Partridge, almost certainly for John Watts of Hockwold, co. Norfolk and his wife Alice Partridge of Suffolk, whom he married on 7 July 1763.
The arms on the second pair are Watts, as above, with another. (4)
