The rectangular top with moulded edge inset with a gilt-tooled dark green leather writing surface with a writing slide to each end, above three frieze drawer to both sides the frieze embellished with a central mask roundel escutcheon and a pair of stars within a circular border each flanked by palmettes with a further pair of crowned mask escutcheons, on lyre-formed legs joined by turned stretchers terminating in lion paw feet on a plinth base
