A PAIR OF FRENCH ORMOLU AND PORCELAIN-MOUNTED MAHOGANY CABINETS-ON-STAND
LATE 19TH CENTURY
Each with three-quarter galleried top, above a hinged door and a fall-front secretaire drawer respectively, centred by a Sèvres oval panel decorated with ribbon-tied baskets of flowers, surrounded by ormolu borders and a rosette to each edge, the canted fluted angles headed by laurel swags and ionic capitals and terminating in square flowerheads, the frieze with one drawer inset with Sèvres panels between foliate intertwined rosettes, on square tapering legs joined by pierced stretchers centred by rosettes
