“I first met the subject of this work, Petros, a few years ago when he was studying Design for Performance alongside my daughter Edith. Petros Kourtellaris (he/him) is a queer migrant artist and a costume and set designer. His practice explores identity and transformation, blurring the boundaries between body, costume and space.

This work comes from my latest body of work in Caran d’ache, focusing on closely cropped portraits of friends and fellow creators. A series of these new drawings will debut at Frieze London this year.”
