It is Carl and Karin Larsson's daughter Brita, sitting and playing the Malmsjö grand piano in the large studio at Lilla Hyttnäs in Sundborn. Of Brita, practically only the upper part of her head is visible, with the middle-boned arm and the red ribbons that hold the flats in place at each ear.
