Announcing Christie’s Inaugural Sales at The Henderson
3-month programme of sales and events beginning in September

After over three decades in Asia Pacific, Christie’s will relocate its regional headquarters to a brand-new, private space complete with a saleroom and galleries, at The Henderson in Hong Kong, a newly-designed building by Zaha Hadid Architects. This will be the first opening of a major, cross-category sale site by Christie’s in over 20 years, which reflects our commitment to and confidence in the Asia Pacific region, and Hong Kong’s integral position in the world of art and luxury auctions. Spanning 50,000 square feet across four floors, this all-inclusive hub for collectors will allow us to evolve our business model in Asia from biannual auctions, to a new, dynamic year-round programme of sales, exhibitions, events. This new regional headquarters will have a global impact, alongside other key Christie’s salerooms in New York, London, and Paris.
To celebrate this momentous milestone, we will host an exciting programme of inaugural sales and events, which will kick-off with sales of masterpieces across various categories on 26 and 27 September. This will be followed by a Luxury marquee week in October, and finally, an Asian Art marquee week in November. The move marks the start of a thrilling new chapter for Christie’s, and promises to convene art and luxury collectors from all over the world. The state-of-the-art space at The Henderson will be used to host world-class exhibitions and events, enthralling live sales, and provide unmatched client experiences well into this new era.
We look forward to seeing you at The Henderson in autumn for this special occasion.
