Left: Bad Binch Tong Tong by Terrence Zhou black velvet hooded maxi dress with feather boa, worn by Lady Gaga in the Runway music video. Estimate: $15,000-20,000. Right: Dries Van Noten, Fall/Winter 2025 tassel coat, worn on screen by Meryl Streep. Embellished with pastel and earthy toned tassels. Estimate: $4,000-6,000. Both offered in The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction on 1–15 September 2026 at Christie’s online

After fans waited two decades to see their favourite fictional glossy’s staff reunite, The Devil Wears Prada 2, released in May of this year, did not disappoint. Now, Christie’s will present one of New York Fashion Week’s most highly anticipated events: The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction, an online sale taking place from 1–15 September. Benefitting the Committee to Protect Journalists (an independent nonprofit organisation that promotes press freedom worldwide) and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and the auction shines a light on the ultra-chic costuming by Emmy Award-winning designer Molly Rogers, who also assisted long-time mentor Patricia Field on the original 2006 film.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 costumes and memorabilia will be on view at Christie’s from 9–13 September as part of the Christie’s September Fashion Auctions exhibition, alongside highlights from Bill Blass: An American Legacy and showstopping bags from Handbags Online: The New York Edit. As Blass was one of the founding members of the CFDA, the collective sale preview celebrates a century of extraordinary design for the stage and screen, runway and Runway (whose imaginary midtown offices just happen to be around the corner from Christie’s New York headquarters).

Ahead, discover a few of the most covetable items worn by Miranda (Meryl Streep), Andy (Anne Hathaway), Nigel (Stanley Tucci), Emily (Emily Blunt) and even Lady Gaga in The Devil Wears Prada 2. (Warning: spoilers ahead!)

The devil wore Dries

A mannequin displays a colorful jacket adorned with multiple large tassels in various pastel shades.

After publishing bigwig Irv Ravitz dies, his son Jay bamboozles Miranda into having a business meeting with a team of management consultants (people, not guys) who plan to restructure Elias-Clarke, Runway’s parent company. The Runway editor-in-chief’s pastel-tassel-trimmed jacket (from Dries Van Noten’s Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear collection, which marked Julian Klausner’s first as the company’s creative director) is the ultimate foil to the consultants’ navy-blue blazers. Costume designer Rogers told Gold Derby of the cafeteria look: ‘It was literally the first thing I saw that I wanted for the movie. I didn’t know where it would go, but the scene it ended up in — art versus commerce, good versus evil — it was amazing that we set it there.’

Andy’s Gabriela Hearst dress (with a hint of a stain)

A mannequin wears a colorful, geometric-patterned sleeveless maxi dress.

Gabriela Hearst patchwork linen maxi dress with racer-back, worn on screen by Anne Hathaway. Estimate: $3,000-4,000. Offered in The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction on 1–15 September 2026 at Christie’s online

When pulling outfits for her visit to Miranda’s Hamptons house, Andy can’t help but be drawn to a bold, geometric-patterned dress, much to Nigel’s chagrin. (As he tells her, the Hamptons are about ‘quiet luxury — luxury that is so quiet you need an ear trumpet.’) The garment in question: Gabriela Hearst’s Niki Patchwork Embroidered Maxi Dress. While Runway’s latest features editor has graduated from cerulean sweaters, she hasn’t fully abandoned her clumsy ways, as she spills food on the linen frock while at Miranda’s home — and to this day, the stain lives on the dress to tell the tale!

Lady Gaga’s gown will turn a dance floor into a runway

A mannequin wears a black velvet gown with a dramatic, wide collar of black feathers.

Bad Binch Tong Tong by Terrence Zhou black velvet hooded maxi dress with feather boa, worn by Lady Gaga in the Runway music video. Estimate: $15,000-20,000. Offered in The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction on 1–15 September 2026 at Christie’s online

Accompanying her cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2, Lady Gaga contributed three original songs to the film’s soundtrack. Out of the many marvellous looks she wears in Doechii’s and her ‘Runway’ music video, one of the most memorable is a custom black gown by Bad Binch TongTong. Designer Terrence Zhou specially constructed the dress to feature a hovering ring of feathers, producing anti-gravity magic.

‘Can you please spell “Gabbana”?’

A mannequin in a plaid suit, leopard print scarf, and black shoes placed nearby.

Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with cheetah neck scarf and black dress shoes, worn on screen by Stanley Tucci. The charcoal plaid three-piece suit includes jacket, vest and pants. Estimate: $2,000-3,000. Offered in The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction on 1–15 September 2026 at Christie’s online

Not only did Dolce & Gabbana dress everyone for Irv’s funeral (at least according to Emily), the Italian fashion house also designed one of Nigel’s looks worn during Milan Fashion Week. Christie’s is offering a replica of the suit, plus the accompanying shoes and cheetah-print silk scarf, so you too can channel Nigel — forever our guy!

The devil’s in the diamonds

A wide, shiny silver cuff bracelet with a teardrop shape encrusted with small diamonds.

Elsa Perretti for Tiffany & Co ‘Bone Cuff’ bracelet. Platinum cuff bracelet with incrusted diamonds. Offered in The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction on 1–15 September 2026 at Christie’s online

It’s clear in the sequel that Emily is no stranger to exquisite Tiffany & Co. jewels, thanks to her billionaire boyfriend Benji (Justin Theroux). Christie’s is offering one of the house’s iconic Elsa Peretti Bone Cuffs, in platinum accented with pavé diamonds, worn by Emily at dinner (in the company of Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper) in Milan. If the bridges Emily’s burned don’t light her way, this stunner certainly will!
