Opening at Boundary Road in 1985 before later moving to County Hall and then Duke of York Square, Saatchi Gallery has been at the forefront of the contemporary art world for the past 30 years. From its maiden show — the first UK exhibitions of both Cy Twombly and Brice Marden — to the present day, the gallery has continued to present both British and international artists through its innovative exhibition programme.

Landmark exhibitions such as Art of our Time at the Royal Scottish Academy, Sensation: Young British Artists at the Saatchi Gallery at The Royal Academy, London, and The Triumph of Painting at Leeds City Art Gallery have shone a light on many of today’s most influential contemporary artists, including Georg Baselitz, Damien Hirst and Peter Doig, among many others.

100X HANDPICKED offers the opportunity to own works from the historic Saatchi Gallery's Collection. With 100 lots split between live and online auctions, the sale spotlights today’s most compelling artists, while celebrating the Saatchi Gallery’s 10-year anniversary at its current location in Duke of York Square. Proceeds from the auctions will benefit the gallery’s free education programme, as well as its ongoing policy of free admission to all gallery-curated exhibitions.

Highlights from the sale are on view at SALON, Saatchi Gallery from 1 May to 18 June, before transferring to Christie’s from 23 to 27 June.
