Asian Art at Christie’s Paris

The Asian art sales totalled €10.9M. The Art d’Asie live auction doubled its pre-sale estimate when the Art of Asia online auction almost tripled its pre-sale estimate.
The R.J.S. Collection, presented live and online, was particularly appreciated with a total of €3.7M, more than three times its pre-sale estimate.
The top lot of the live auction, from the R.J.S. Collection, an album of forty-eight paintings and calligraphies from the early Qing dynasty was sold for €756,000, more than 75 times its pre-sale estimate.
Many prestigious French and European private collections were presented in both sales such as the Baron Schröder Collection or pieces from the Galerie Duchange.
