Asian Art Week - September 2025

  • Event date 9月10日 - 25日
  • Event location 紐約
Asian Art Week in New York concluded with outstanding results, achieving US$49.7 million and selling 91% by lot, with more than half of all lots exceeding their high estimates. Nearly 30% of buyers were new to Christie’s or to the category, reflecting a growing global enthusiasm and appetite for Asian art.

The Important Chinese Furniture and Works of Art sale led the week, realizing US$31.8 million, with a rare 17th-century huanghuali corner-leg table achieving US$3.37 million, more than ten times its low estimate. Strong results in South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art — including Vasudeo S. Gaitonde’s 1984 masterpiece, first offered in Mumbai by Christie’s in 1987, realizing $US2.39 million — and Japanese and Korean Art further underscored Christie’s leadership in the market.
