The British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel Gala Auction

EVENT DATE: 26 November 2013

The British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel (BFAMI) is a London based philanthropic art organisation dedicated to raising funds to support educational programmes run by the art museums of Israel. By supporting these programmes, the charity enables the museums to reach out to future generations in Israel through exposing young audiences to the art, culture and history of Israel as well as to international modern and contemporary art.

Christie’s is proud to support the 2013 gala dinner and auction, taking place at the Roundhouse, London, on Tuesday 26 November. The auction will be preceded by an exhibition of all lots at Christie’s King St from Sunday 10 November until Wednesday 13 November.

The 59 lot auction includes highlights (illustrated left) from artists such as Yinka Shonibare MBE, Louise Bourgeois, William Kentridge, Alex Israel, and Zadok Ben David, with estimates ranging from £900 to £120,000. All proceeds will go to the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel to continue their work with and education of younger generations.

For further information on the auction or to place an absentee bid, please email info@bfami.org with your contact details, details of the lot and your final maximum bid.
