‘The first human right
is the right to a childhood’

On 7 November in Geneva, Christie’s presented five charity lots to benefit Children Action, including a stunning pair of sapphire, opal and diamond crescent earrings by JAR, that achieved CHF 230,000.

Since 1994, Children Action, a Swiss Foundation, brings tangible help to children and young people in need all over the world.

Today the foundation is active in 8 countries (Argentina, Cameroon, Myanmar, Peru, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, and Switzerland) through 18 projects, providing surgical treatments, working with children at risk of suicide and their families, developing programmes focusing on mother/child early stage relationship, promoting education and nutrition. Children Action has no administrative costs as its founder personally covers all of them, hence every donation goes exclusively to fund the programmes. Moreover, thanks to a powerful leverage effect enhanced by key partnerships, each $1 received generates $3.

All proceeds from the sale of these lots will go to Children Action.
