Join hundreds of photography enthusiasts, museum supporters, and philanthropists on 8 June for the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP)’s annual benefit: DARKROOM: LIGHTS, CAMERA, AUCTION. The event also includes an auction, powered by The Auction Collective with support from Christie’s, featuring artworks from contemporary global artists. All proceeds benefit MoCP’s exhibitions, public programs, and community and educational initiatives.

DARKROOM highlights MoCP's renowned photography auction featuring important works by contemporary artists from around the world. Event proceeds support essential MoCP exhibition, education, and community engagement programs.
Tickets are on sale now and are $175 for the Benefit & Auction and $500 for the VIP portion which features a Q&A with artists, including Silver Camera Awardee Bob Thall in conversation with guest artist Cecil McDonald, Jr. along with recognizing Catherine Edelman as this year’s DARKROOM Honoree.

About The Museum of Contemporary Photography

The Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) is a world premier college art museum dedicated to photography. As an international hub, the Museum generates ideas and provokes dialogue among students, artists and diverse communities through groundbreaking exhibitions and programming. Its mission is to cultivate a deeper understanding of the artistic, cultural and political roles of photography in the world today. Founded in 1976 by Columbia College Chicago as the successor to the Chicago Center for Contemporary Photography, the Museum of Contemporary Photography began collecting in the early 1980s and has since grown its collection to include over 16,800 objects by 1,800 artists. The MoCP is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
