Christie’s Amsterdam Lates: Transformations

Amsterdam, 7 June 2017

Christie’s Lates have become a must-attend event in Amsterdam and we are delighted to present this season’s final Late: Transformations. Join us at Cornelis Schuytstraat 57 on Wednesday 7 June for an evening of talks on the theme of change. Christie’s specialist Dolf Heyselbergs will discuss how Dutch Impressionist Isaac Israels searched for beauty in a fast-developing modern world, while Mattie Boom, Curator at Rijksmuseum, introduces the museum’s new retrospective on 19th century photography. Find out more about the Freedom Lamp, an exclusive art piece designed by reformed young offenders in the YiPmade programme and designer Joep Van Lieshout of Atelier van Lieshout. Tastings include Amsterdam Mules mixed by Our Amsterdam Vodka and ice cream by IJsboutique. Works from our upcoming sales of The former Kamerbeek Collection and 19th Century and Modern Art will also be on view.

Co Breman (1865-1938), Blossoming trees in Het Gooi. Signed and dated 'Co Breman 1908' (lower right); oil on canvas; 66.5 x 54.5 cm. Painted in 1908. Estimate: €15,000-20,000. The former Kamerbeek Collection, 12 June 2017
