Limited Editions Sold to Benefit
the Israel Museum, Jerusalem

New York | 11 – 18 July 2019

This series of signed limited edition artworks created by internationally renowned contemporary artists were commissioned by the Israel Museum, one of the world’s leading universal museums, and are being sold to provide support for the institution’s operations.

The exclusive series began in 2005, at the time of the museum’s 40th anniversary, when International Council Co-Chair Marion Naggar looked for a way to honor and support the museum while strengthening its connections with artists. The first artist to generously agree to participate was Damien Hirst followed by Yinka Shonibare, Ron Arad, Liza Lou, William Kentridge, Arik Lévy and Jeff Koons, all of whom are represented in the museum’s collection. Most recently, Ai Weiwei submitted a work to the series in celebration of his acclaimed 2017 exhibition at the museum.

Christie’s is proud to support the Israel Museum by hosting this exhibition for the sale of remaining editions in the series, which include works by Ai Weiwei, Ron Arad, Arik Lévy, Liza Lou, Yinka Shonibare, all proceeds will benefit the museum’s ongoing operations. Buyers will be treated to a private, curator-led tour of the museum on their next trip to Israel. For more information or to make a purchase, please visit the museum's website.
