Atelier d’Artiste

Geneva, 21 & 22 September

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Christie’s in Switzerland. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Christie’s presents Atelier d’Artiste – a special exhibition that captures the select taste of this region’s collectors, curated by art critic Nicolas Trembley.

Atelier d’Artiste brings together highlights from our international autumn auctions, featuring 20 masterpieces by 20th- and 21st-century icons including Miró, Gauguin, Calder, Giacometti, Dubuffet, Baselitz, Basquiat and Riley. Alongside this, works by Picasso, Fontana and Schütte headline the ceramics section of this ensemble – a nod to the first sale that took place at Christie’s Switzerland, which offered a rare collection of Meissen porcelain of European royal provenance. Finally, a selection of magnificent jewels from our Geneva November sale, including superb pieces from Cartier, Boivin, Webb and JAR, completes the spectacular line-up of this exhibition.

Visit the exhibition on 21 and 22 September at the Société Nautique de Genève, a prime location on the lake overlooking the port and the city.
