In the Saleroom: Auguste Rodin’s Le Baiser (The Kiss)

Few 19th century sculptures are more instantly recognizable than Auguste Rodin's Le Baiser (The Kiss). This extremely rare bronze cast, known as the Milwaukee version, was one of only five created during the artist's lifetime from the plaster model of the classic sculpture, and was one of the top lots at Christie’s 3 November Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale in New York, selling for $6,354,500.
