In this disconcerting dialogue we are left second-guessing the narrative, which hints at an internal psychological disorder, but leaves our suspicions unconfirmed.
Language games are central to Oursler’s work, as he explores the human psyche and some of its darker secrets. This example is typical of his installations of the nineties, in which he creates scenes featuring crudely made, immobile puppets and projects footage of real faces onto their heads.
