Christie’s Hong Kong autumn wine sale will be held on 11th and 12th September, it is led by a large offering of classed growth Bordeaux and Australian icons from the collection of Peter Chu, and a private collection featuring the very best that Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Rhône has to offer with a focus on wines that are incredibly rare. The sale also offers a selection of mature vintage champagne from the esteemed Bollinger House. Bollinger, the champagne of choice for James Bond, has appeared in most of the 007 movies, including Goldeneye, where a bottle of Bollinger can be seen in the cooler in Bond’s Aston Martin. The autumn wine sale will offer Bollinger Grand Année 1997, Bollinger Grand Année Rosé 1999, Bollinger R.D. 1990 and the exceptionally rare Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises 1998.
Taking the wine experience to the next level, Chinese Zodiac signs are used in the catalogue to indicate the vintage of wines to help connoisseurs find their perfect match. Tips on pairing different wines with specialty cuisine from all around China will also be offered.
