A Boghossian Emerald and Diamond Double Rivière Necklace, realised HK$54,250,000 / US$7 million to set a record for a selection of no oil Colombian emeralds, while a pair of 3.29 carat each Fancy Intense Blue Internally Flawless Diamond Earrings, attracted heated bidding, eventually selling for HK$47,050,000 / US$6.1 million.
Continuing Christie's market leadership in Asia, Important Watches realised a total of HK$145,341,250 / US$18.8 million, spearheaded by our offering of the most valuable Patek Philippe timepieces at auction. The auction set six world auction records for Patek Philippe including for an extremely rare Ref. 3448 which sold for HK$9.25 million / US$1.2 million.
Handbags & Accessories reaffirms its market leadership with multiple records set. A Rare, Matte White Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Retourné Kelly 25 with Palladium Hardware, Hermès 2019, which became the most expensive handbag sold at auction when it hammered for HK$3,375,000 / US$437,330 including buyer's premium, followed by another world auction record for a Rare, Matte White Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Birkin 25 with Palladium Hardware, Hermès 2016, which fetched HK$3,000,000 / US$388,738.
Christie's Hong Kong Wines & Spirits autumn auctions achieved a combined sell-through rate of 97% with almost a third of the lots sold online via Christie's Live. The single-owner A Wonderful Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Collection was 100% sold, as was the offering of Japanese whiskies from Karuizawa, premium sake from Juyondai and German wine from Egon Müller.
