On 9 July, Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction realised a total of HK$306,610,000 with 92% sold by value. The high-spirited saleroom attracted collectors bidding enthusiastically from 14 countries and 5 continents around the world. The star lot, YAN, a 12.11 carat Fancy Intense Blue/IF Diamond Ring fetched HK$122,385,000, establishing Christie's as the only auction house in Asia thus far, to sell a single jewellery lot over HK$100m this year.
The exceptional results reflects the robust global demand in the market and reaffirms Christie's leadership in offering the finest coloured diamonds in auction.
