On 24 September, Christie's invites you to FIRST OPEN│Shanghai and 20th Century & Contemporary Art, two spectacular sales showcasing artworks by Asian and Western contemporary masters and emerging artists.

Part of Christie’s China 2017 autumn auction series, these sales offer a carefully curated selection of works with both international and cross-category appeal.

Highlights include works by Zao Wou-Ki, Xu Lei, Qin Feng, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol, KAWS, Zeng Fanzhi and Xu Lei, as well as art by the Chinese literati.

‘Contemporary Scholars’ Studio’ will make its debut as a theme in this season’s sale, featuring works of art ranging from furniture to ink paintings and bonsais. The concept is a modern spin on the traditional intellectual approach to achieving a balanced lifestyle.
