Precautionary closures and sale updates at Christie’s

Precautionary closures and sale updates at Christie’s

The latest updates for our sale calendar and offices worldwide

UPDATED AS OF 31 MARCH 2020

As previously announced on 19 March, Christie’s has undertaken a global review of its spring and summer auction calendar in light of precautionary closures and travel restrictions. We remain committed to addressing the ongoing situation, including the reduction of non-essential business activities. Our thoughts are with all those directly affected by the virus.

Our teams are working swiftly to reschedule postponed auctions to later dates, while confirming a revised calendar of online-only sales. Key marquee weeks on the auction calendar were announced in a first phase announcement on 19 March; a second phase of key sale announcements for Christie’s three sale platforms (Auction, Online-Only, Private Sales) appears below.

Please note: dates for all auctions remain provisionary by necessity, and Christie’s will continue to adapt its activities and operations and take all precautions advised by the World Health Organization (WHO). Our foremost priority is to act in the best interest of our colleagues, clients and our communities.

Our colleagues remain at your disposal by email, telephone and other virtual means to offer assistance and answer questions.

In this time, we know that the art and objects entrusted to Christie’s can be a source of enrichment and enjoyment. Please visit our website where you’ll find a rich diversity of free videos, interviews, educational materials and images.
