To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Christie’s in Asia, the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art departments will unveil an exciting range of masterpieces by leading Asian artists, including Adrien Jean Le Mayeur de Merpres, Chen Wen Hsi, Chu Teh-Chun, I Nyoman Masriadi, Kazuo Shiraga, Natee Utarit, Rhee Seundja, Ronald Ventura, Wang Huaiqing, Wu Guanzhong, Yoshimoto Nara, Zao Wou-Ki, Zeng Fanzhi.
Collectors will be offered deep insights into an array of contemporary artistic movements, with a range of works that uncovers the unique styles and ideas of leading artists.
Carefully curated works by modern and contemporary masters from China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia reveal distinctive differences between art in the East and the West, while Breaking Dawn: Early Chinese Contemporary Art-The Johnson Chang Collection offers two pivotal decades in Chinese contemporary art by the period’s greatest names. Exceptional works will also be offered in 30 Years: The Sale marking the company’s landmark anniversary in the region.
