In December 2015, Christie’s Paris achieved remarkable results for Contemporary Art with more than €25 million realised at the close of a week of international bidding wars. The Evening Sale achieved €17,512,10600, selling 92% by lot.

Many pieces exceeded expectations including 374 cylinders on a sphere by Pol Bury and Fourteen Black Spots by Alexander Calder, which sold for €2,795,500, more than twice its high estimate.
