The sale is part of Journées du Dessin at Christie’s Paris, combining Modern Works on Paper and Old Master Drawings, and strengthening our presence on the French art market.
In 2015, the sale of Old Master and 19th Century Drawings achieved more than €2.8 million; The Virgin and Child by Baccio della Porta, or Fra Bartolommeo, realised almost three times its high estimate at €433,500.
