The oval aquamarine within rose-cut diamond surround suspending three foliate and collet tassels to the twin line and circle surmount, fine link neckchain, circa 1912, pendant 4.6 cm. high, in original fitted wooden case stamped St Petersburg, Moscow, London

Purchased by the Dowager Empress Maria Fedorovna of Russia on 28 July 1912 for 260 Roubles.

Descriptif du lot

The necklace was a gift to Augusta Marie Utke Ramsing (1875-1959) who was lady-in-waiting to Princess Margrethe of Denmark, sister of the Tsarina of Russia, and thence by descent to the present owner
