拍品專文

I wasn't interested in knowing whether it's right or wrong that women spread their legs and show their bodies outside of the officially legitimizing private sphere. It only made me think that no one ever freely faces up to her own sexuality. I knew my body gave me pleasure, so why not show women while they are caressing themselves? I feel that for women, sex is strength and giving it up makes no sense (G. Amer as quoted in La Biennale di Venezia 48 Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte, exh. cat., 1999, p. 196).
